At Linen Studio we have a vision and are basing our company philosophy and products on the following pure and simple guidelines:

- Products made with the hands of art & craft masters,
- To retain our history and preserve valuable traditions so that we do not forget where we come from.
We have therefore chosen to focus on linen (flax). Linen has proven itself over many centuries of use. It is environmentally sustainable and it is such a beautiful and strong cloth that has many fabulous attributes.
We are able to offer handmade products by European masters (who still work with traditional skills) and also locally designed and sewn products by Linen Studio designers. Handmade quality is becoming a rarity in this age and many traditional crafts are starting to die out. We hope that by providing our customers with quality items that are beautiful and functional we can support these artisans and help balance the trend of today’s throw away society. This also ensures that each item is not mass produced so if you choose an item you can be sure that there are not hundreds or even thousands of them out there.
Our range consists of a wide variety of sewn , printed and hand woven products.
Scarves, table linen and rugs are made on old style wooden looms by weaving masters entirely by hand. It is a very time consuming job utilising a lot of skills and “muscle” power. In the past weavers used to be mostly men due to the strength required but today it is mostly women that are creating these masterpieces.
The products are specially designed to express and replicate old fashioned styles balanced with a blend of more current designs from our Australian Linen Studio designers who work to develop new looks to fit in with current lifestyle trends.
